This Book showed how the families of China of the earlier 1900's and how their superstitions are included in their lives. this also shows the male Dominance in China. this book will probably bring Tears to ones eyes while Wu Mei (Main Character)struggles in hard times of War.
i suggest this book to everyone of all ages!

Chinese Cinderella was a very sad book that teaches you about Chinese culture in the early 20th century. The author does an amazing job of telling her painful story of a neglectful childhood, and she also does a great job of teaching the reader about Chinese customs and traditions.
This book was very gripping, and I was hooked from cover to cover.
I would recommend this book to anybody interested in learning about Chinese Culture or somebody who would like to read a memoir.
