A great informative book! A must-read for anyone who cares about the food they eat and the world they live in. I highly recommend this book. Everyone in the US should read this. I also recommend another excellent book - Jane Goodall’s book on food

It is definitely an eye-opening book - but I'm afraid many of the things he touted to be true ended up losing clout as he got into the animal rights issues. He clearly had an agenda for animal rights (to the extreme). He even stated in the book himself that he felt that the animal rights issues were a bigger deal than the health problems eating meat is associated with. He lost a lot of credibility with me there.
However, my eyes are open now to the conditions animals are put in and how that seriously impacts the quality and safety of the animal products we eat. I'm vowing to not only cut way back on animal products, but also to seek out grass-fed and hormone-free alternatives.
