This is a great book. Its about a kid named joey who plays for the marlins in the city baseball league. when the marlins pitcher is injured, Joey steps on the mound and wins a critital game. But right when his spirits are lifted then suddenly drop when he learns that an exchange student from another country will be coming in a week. then to make things worse he learns that the boys name is Jesus, pronoced Hey-soos. But Jesus turns out to be much more then Joey expected.This is a great book even if u dont like or play baseball. [a Matt Christopher book]

When a new kid comes to town people start to like him. Once he stole home during a baseball game. Joey let several runs in, but they still won the game. [a Matt Christopher book]
