Not what I thought it would be. It doesn’t do a very good job for what it is supposed to do, which is bring you closer to God. Maybe a hard core Christian would enjoy this book, but for those who are struggling to find their place with God, this book isn’t the place to find Him. Maybe it was just me though.

I agree with the other comment. This book might be enjoyable for hard core Christians, but I dislike it. I don’t like how the author writes "The Bibles says: "blah blah blah". And then you have to look up the notation to see what Bible verse he is interpreting. The book didn’t help me find God, it made me disgusted with people that call themselves Christian and believe that only Christians will go to heaven, a sort of exclusive club of sorts. Complete nonsense.

I have not read this book yet, but it sadness me to read the comments above. Personally I feel that if you desire to be closer with God you need seek him. The Bible would be the best book to start with. "But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul." (Deuteronomy 4:29) Most importantly, no one is capable of knowing a persons heart like God does, so it’s impossible to know who will go to heaven or hell. Leave the judging up to God, and love one another. Know your beliefs and appreciate others.

I agree with you guys. This book really sucks and I bought it because I liked the title!! What a waste of 25 dollars.

Well, you can say whatever you want to, all I know there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ, the Bible says he is the way, the truth and the life and that no one comes to the father, God, except by him. Don’t accept Jesus as Lord and savior of your life, the door is wide open for you to hell, believe in jesus and ask him to come into your life, see you in heaven, accept it or refuse it, its the truth, its not about men and there books its about what God says that is important, if you find Rick Warens book annoying then close it and turn to the Bible, real word of God not of men, til then I hope you make the choise that you will never regret.
