Oh ho ho!! We are after the Jackal here. "Le Chacal", as the French called him, was a mysterious and deadly assassin-for-hire who, it is said, did his work in the 1960’s. Here, the suspenseful story deals with the attempt to stop him from succeeding in his most ambitious and nefarious mission to-date at the time. Frederick Forsyth’s books always crackle with suspense. This is one of his greatest works. Also, catch the movie (the original from 1973) if you can after you’ve read this book. You will be highly rewarded for the experience!
