This novel is longer than necessary. One of the things I can’t stand is courtroom dialogue. It bores me and is only a unnecessary filler. Connelly has written better such as the Lincoln Lawyer, but this average story is 5 of 10 stars.

I enjoyed this book. I would have liked to see more of Harry Bosch but it’s still a worth-while read. Unlike nitetrain, I didn’t mind the courtroom dialogue. But I’m a Law & Order junkie.
