Small towns and circumscribed lives are this book subjects, the setting Ireland sometime mid century. Ellie and Florian are the central characters, but Trevor writes in a whole town of people with unrealized hopes and dreams. Trevor is a master storyteller; this one is no different than all the wonderful ones read before. The book is a quiet little gem; great for a reading moment in summer.
