Grade 4 and up. This historical time-warped adventure follows a young girl desperately seeking the medicine her family needs to survive an epidemic affecting her 1860's village. It is argued that the concept of this book was stolen for the 2004 block-buster movie "The Village" by Director M. Night Shyamalan.
