this is a wonderful little book. it will likely only take you a few minutes to read it but you’ll want to read it slowly and take in everything that she’s describing. you can practically feel yourself there in the desert. and the illustrations by mary frank are simple and go along very well with the words. terry tempest williams is an excellent environmental writer.
