this is an AWSOME book! I really liked it. It start when Sandry, a 13 year old orphan is found By the mage Niko. He takes her to the Winding circle temple, where she meets Daja,Triss,and Briar, all orphans like her. They get sent to Disipline.to see what happens read this book Sequals: Briar's book, Daja's book, and Triss' book [Series: Circle of Magic #1]

This novel is the beginning of the Circle of Magic series, which continues for eight more books (to my knowledge) after the first one, as the characters mature. An extremely enjoyable series with rich, detailed characters.
