While this book was in the fantasy section, it certainly came across to me as more of a historical romance with some fanciful themes. While I thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down, I found the end a little lacking. The entire story seemed to be building up slowly, and then the last thirty pages or so went so fast I could barely find time to breathe. While the action was excellent, I think the author could have spent more time on the romance itself, considering it seemed like the main couple went from being acquaintances to in love in such a short time. However, I did enjoy the book and I’ll recommend it for a fun book.
