I have loved Lupone’s work since I was a teenager, obsessed with her Evita on CD. So it was a no-brainer that I would enjoy reading her story and, as expected, Lupone delivers a funny, engaging yarn of her love of performing from childhood to the present. Of particular interest is the saga of her termination from Sunset Boulevard, which gives you a sense of the cold business side of theater that can outweigh the artistry we see on stage
