What other readers are saying about this title:
Judith B. said:
Lavinia “Vinnie” Warren Bump grew up to be a small person. She was intelligent and curious; her family was loving and protective. Vinnie completed school and was offered a job teaching a classroom. She wasn’t satisfied and when “a cousin” came and asked her to join his show, much to her family’s dismay, Vinnie accepted. She was displayed as a showboat freak and her life was filled with potential danger. Eventually she met P. T. Barnum and Charles Stratton, aka General Tom Thumb. So begins an adventure that will take her around the world to many highs and lows. Based on her life, this fiction book is an interesting read for those who like historical fiction.
