Although I am not a fan of horror books and hardly ever read them, when I learned the writer was a Catholic and had not planned to write it as a horror, I finally consented to pick it up. The book itself I did not like, but there is something about it that you can hardly put it down, and I found myself entranced in the deeper meanings. I enjoyed it, but would hardly recommend it to anyone under eighteen.
