It took me awhile to get into this novel but then I was glued to the story of Hazel and Augustus, two teens with cancer. Predictable plot? No, it surprises in many ways. A haunting love story that will break your heart. Favorite line: “I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, then all at once.” Another good line: "You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you.”

This is my absolute favorite book of all time, I suggest reading it if you are interested in eye opening statements, funny jokes, an odd teen romance, an even odder author and a constant battle between life and death. This book is not recommended for immature readers.
