Camille Bergeron, native of New Orleans and on the run from her abusive husband, arrives on Little Gale Island, Maine with her teen daughters, Josie and Dahlia. Soon befriended by single dad Ben Haskell and his teenage son, Matthew, the Bergeron women start a new life and, with the Haskells, open a restaurant serving Creole favorites.
