I LOVED THIS BOOK! It is about this small Texas town called Antler in 1971. A sideshow comes to Antler and it showcases the fattest boy in the world, his name is Zachary Beaver. A boy named Toby and his friend Cal befriend Zachary and this book is about their summer full of adventure. A must read, this book was really good.

This book is O.K. When I read the ending it didn't add up to the awesome details the author gave earlier in the book. There is a conflict in the book that ends abrubtly and the author doesn't really do a good job of solving it and tellin you more about it, but then again maybe she wants you to think in your own imagination what happens next. All in all I would recommend this book. It's a little inappropriate so I would recommend it for preteens, and teens.

I loved this book. I read it when I was in fifth grade, and it was funny and sad and had all the elements of a great book, which is why i totally recommend it.
