Body of Evidence is one of Cornwell’s better novels. The plot focuses on the death of a reclusive writer who had been in hiding for some time. Scarpetta and Morino find few clues to go on besides some rare fibers and the fact that the author’s latest manuscript has disappeared. Character development is pretty good in this book, and the plot kept me interested despite some slow parts in the middle. The ending was quite frightening!

I enjoyed the drama and like the Scarpetta and Morino characters. 7 of 10 for me.
