If you like fantasy and adventure, this would be the perfect book for you. it tells the story of Harry, a girl forced to live in a new place when her mom dies. she is soon kidnapped by Corlath, the leader of the mysterious hill people. he believes that she possesses some magic deep within her. it's boring at the start, but an unbelievable read once you get into it!!!

This story was soooo good! It was about this girl named Herry Crewe who was a Homelander and also about a golden-eyed-king of the Free Hillfolk who's name was Corlath. Corlath wants to kidnap Harry from the house she is staying in after he sees her. He doesn't know why he wasts to so badly... but he does. Harry remembers him because she sees his golden eyes again. Why does Corlath want her so badly? Why does she NOT mistrust him? your going to have to read this amazing book to find out!;)

Robin McKinley writes awesome books. This is one of them. However, read the Hero and the Crown first and this one will make more sense.
