Joan Barfoot is excellent - I can't wait to read her other books! This is the story of Isla's life before and after the tragic shooting that leaves her paralyzed. She is a strong woman who had finally found happiness after a stunning betrayal. At the same time, we are told about the short, unhappy life of Roddy, the boy her shot her. A moving novel about strength and forgiveness.
