Lucky is a wonderful book. It illustrates Alice Sebold’s own experience as a rape victim, a witness against her rapist, and finally as she accepts what happened to her. It was so touching to see that she was so open about it, so direct and unwavering as she related something most of us would be ashamed, or even ashamed of speaking about.
