This book, a sequel to The Blue Sword, tells the story of Aerin, a girl who never quite fits into her place as the king's daughter. I think that the story has some very interesting elements, a scene for instance, when Aerin is told that she is "no longer quite mortal," yet the story goes rather fast. This is a fairly quick read.
