I'm trying to recall the name of a boook I once read and would like to read again. It's about a gorgeous girl who comes from a family that all the artists like to paint them. She goes to town and lives at a boarding house. She sews for her job. A boarder named Charlie falls in love with her, but she is in love with another man who boards there and eventually gets pregnant by him and has an awful abortion. She gets so mentally messed up by it and the man's rejection that she eventually shoots his girlfriend, a girl name Jane, then shoots herself but survives it. Do you know the name of the book I'm speaking of? Help!
