World War I: 1914-2014

Many issues in contemporary foreign policy are rooted in World War I. This monumental war redrew the maps of Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Retired Foreign Service officer and media commentator Tom Hanson will speak.

Learn Together: Storywalk

Location: Grandview Square Park, behind the library and Edina Senior Center, below the library

For families. Walk and read along the self-guided trail as you "step" into the pages of "The Peace Book" by Todd Parr. Complete the trail and complete the story! Also create a peace-themed craft. Storywalk will take place in Grandview Square Park and the craft activity will take place in the Edina Senior Center. Each can be completed in about 10 minutes.

Bargain hunters and book lovers take note: the Friends of the Library will hold a sale of hundreds of adult and children's fiction and nonfiction books in hardcover and paperback. Most books are withdrawn from the Hennepin County Library system or donated by the public. Funds raised will benefit the library.
