Master Gardener: Growing Berries in Minnesota

Would you like fresh berries on your cereal or mixed into your pancakes? Learn about selecting a growing site, the berries that grow well in our area (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries), common diseases and how to preserve your produce.

Using fairy tales and simple acting games, you will be led by an experienced Guthrie teaching artist to create your own tales inspired by the twists and turns of your imagination. Art Out of the Box: Handmade Portraits

Entering grades 2-5. Museum-trained teens will take you on a hands-on exploration of portraits from the museum. Turn your idea of self-image on its head with a playful approach to a timeless art form. Leave with a sketchbook to keep drawing whenever inspiration strikes!

Master Gardener: Rain Gardening

A rain garden is a bowl-shaped garden designed to absorb excess rainwater run-off from a house and its associated landscape. Learn why it’s beneficial for the environment, how to make one and what plants are suitable.
