Global Folk: One World Drums

Paint It Green: Japanese Chirimen Art
Wednesday, June 26, 2–3 p.m.

Chirimen is a traditional Japanese weaving technique developed during the Edo period. Learn about it and create your own miniature animal with chirimen-inspired fabric. Materials provided.

Frogs, Volts and Vinegar

Entering grades 4-6. Learn about one of the most vital engineering feats in history – the battery. Hear why scientists were motivated to create batteries and repeat key experiments performed by scientists Luigi Galvani and Alessandro Volta more than 200 years ago.
