Bargain hunters and book lovers take note: the Friends of the Library will hold a sale of hundreds of adult and children's fiction and nonfiction books in hardcover and paperback. Most books, withdrawn from the Hennepin County Library system or donated by the public, will be priced $1 or less. Funds raised will benefit the library.

Norm the Reading Magician

Squeak, Hop, Woof: Read Aloud With Animals

For families. Guinea pigs, bunnies and dogs, oh my! Beginning readers entering grades 1-3 can practice their skills reading aloud with the help of Registered Therapy Animal Volunteers. Sign up at the library for a 15-minute time slot starting at 2 p.m.; space is limited.
