KidLinks Grades K - 6
KidLinks logo Welcome school partners from Hopkins, Minneapolis, Eden Prairie, Maple Grove, Edina, Mound and Orono. Students write Book Blast and Quick Poll questions each week for KidLinks. They also create crossword puzzles and share their favorite books and authors.
Books Reading BOOKS & READING
Are you looking for a great book to read aloud to your class? Or perhaps a volunteer is looking for a one-session picture book to read aloud. Our librarians have compiled fantastic suggestions. Each book links to the catalog so you can easily request it.

Mysteries, biographies, and historical fiction are a few of the many genres of best books selected for your students.
Students in grades 3-12 can receive help from online tutors through Homework Rescue. Students need a library card to use Homework Rescue or access library databases from computers outside library buildings. Students can apply online. No parent signature is needed.

Find resources for students working on projects about Native American nations and tribes at History & Social Studies. A good starting website is Native Americans: Facts for Kids.

Attend special events such as Japanamania, Stitch Graffiti, Sock Monsters and more. Once again your library is offering fine waivers and free replacement library cards for teens grades 6 - 12 during the month of October to celebrate Teen Read Month. Waivers may be used to reduce up to $10 in fines but do not cover lost or damaged materials fees. Fill out this online waiver form or go to a community library near you to fill out a paper waiver and/or get a replacement library card.
