KidLinks Grades K - 6
KidLinks logo Our KidLinks School Partner is Rush Creek Elementary School in Maple Grove. During the school year, the KidLinks Librarian visits classrooms at our partner schools and those students pick their favorite books and authors to be featured on KidLinks. Students also learn about the free Homework Help resources available to them on KidLinks. If you would like your school to be a KidLinks School Partner please contact Amy Luedtke at 612.543.8529 or aluedtke@hclib.org today!
Books Reading BOOKS & READING
A new year means new award winning children's books, including the recently announced Newbery and Caldecott medalists. And don't forget that voting for Minnesota's own Maud Hart Lovelace Book Award happens in March. Encourage students in grades 3-5 to read the Nominees for Division I and cast their ballots at their local library sometime between March 1 and March 22. The winner will be announced on Lovelace's birthday on April 25.
Which dinosaur knows about science, history, sports, arts, music and much more? Why, a Searchasaurus, of course! This powerful beast is a new database just for students and lives on KidLinks' Homework Help Databases and Websites page, along with many other free databases.
