On Tuesday, October 16 the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners voted to authorize the following actions related to the Excelsior Library building project: approval of schematic design, approval to proceed with design development, construction documents, advertisement and receipt of proposals, and awarding contracts that are within the approved budget for the project. The project now moves into the design development stage. During this phase, the design will be refined to further develop the architecture and structure of the building. Building materials,equipment, and furnishings will also be identified during this stage.
