The July 20 community meeting held at the Nokomis Library focused on the following:
* Responses from the community discussion questions distributed at the June 14 community meeting, online and at the Roosevelt Library
* Based on those responses, the following key design concepts have emerged: family-friendly place; open sight lines and layout; cozy, intimate and warm place: need for a flexible multipurpose space, natural light--quality of light from multiple sources and exterior reading spaces. Images were presented that illustrate each of these key concepts.
The presentation from the community meeting is included below.
The next community meeting will be held in the fall after the consultants and project team have incorporated the design ideas into a more detailed plan.
