Computer Labs and Technology Centers
Computer Labs at Brookdale, Eden Prairie , Ridgedale and Southdale libraries and Technology Centers at Franklin and Hosmer libraries provide access to applications software and technology, online databases, and internet resources. Maple Grove, Minneapolis Central, and Plymouth libraries also have computers available with the capabilities listed below.Resources include:
Microsoft Office - create word processing documents, spreadsheets, databases, and slide presentations. Office XP includes the 2007 versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access software programs. OpenOffice is also available.
Scanning-learn to scan images and documents into digital form. Use image editing programs Microsoft Photo Editor and Paint.
Tutorials-learn to use the available software and research tools at your own pace using tipsheets, and manuals.
CD Burning-save files to compact disc.
