Open Extended Hours thru Oct. due to Storm
Added Internet Access, Free Fax, Special Community Services Available for Residents
To meet the needs of residents and the Rogers community, Hennepin County Library at Rogers announced extended hours of operation to seven days a week through October, due to the severe storms that swept through the area on Sept. 16. Additional computer work stations with internet access and free fax service for residents (needing to fax insurance claim forms, etc.) are available at the Rogers Library.
In addition, special community services, including a community bulletin board for posting messages, and bottled water and refreshments, are available at Rogers Library at no charge. Hundreds of households remain without power and parts of the city still have restricted access due to damage from the tornado and straight-line winds that roared through the city this past weekend.
Special and current services offered by Rogers Library include:
- Extended hours of operation :
Sun., noon - 5 p.m.
Mon. - Thurs., 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Fri. - Sat., 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- 25 public computers with full Internet access
- Wireless capability for laptop computers
- Free fax service for residents needing to fax insurance forms and other storm-related forms
- 4 word processing computers
- Community bulletin board space for Rogers area friends and family to post messages
- Free bottled water, coffee and refreshments
- Community gathering space and meeting room
Additional library staff will be on hand to assist customers in finding books, CDs, DVDs and electronic resources.
