Assist patrons with computer basics such as using a mouse, learning to type, signing up for email accounts, completing on-line forms, navigating a website, using Word. Volunteers work one-to-one with patrons. |
|K-12 Homework Help tutors (Fall 2014)|
|Various locations available|
Volunteers work with youth after school on homework-related projects. Volunteers work once a week for at least one semester and must have experience with K-12 youth. Training is provided. A criminal background check is required.
|Tutors for Adult Learners|
|Location: Franklin Learning Center at Franklin Library|
Assist adult learners studying English, math, science, social studies, technology and life skills, and preparing for the GED and U.S. citizenship exams. Work one-to-one or with small groups. Experience tutoring and working with people of diverse cultures is preferred. Openings for volunteers vary-please inquire for current needs at 612-543-6934. Training is provided.
