- The loan period is 21 days.
- No renewals but you can check a title out again if it is available when your checkout expires.
- A maximum of 15 titles (audio, video, and music) may be checked out from the OverDrive collection at one time. You can check out additional titles when the license for a currently downloaded title expires.
- After 21 days, the title is automatically returned. You cannot return a title before the end of the loan period.
- Titles checked out from the OverDrive collection will not appear on your Hennepin County Library account. You will need to log in to your OverDrive account to check the status of your downloads.

- Music may not be downloaded in Hennepin County Library buildings due to the significant amount of computing resources needed to download these large files.
- Software requirements: OverDrive Media Console 2.0 (a free download) and Windows Media Player series 9 or newer. See the OverDrive Quick Start Guide for more information.
- OverDrive downloadable music titles will play on your home computer or on a variety of devices including Pocket PCs, Portable Media Centers, and devices running Windows Mobile 5.0.

- iPods and Macs do not currently support the DRM-protected Windows Media format used by OverDrive downloadable music titles.
