History
This women's club was organized in May 1926. Their objective: "unite the Delphian Chapters of Minneapolis into a federation for the purpose of simplifying union activities, for good fellowship, loyalty, and general advancement of the chapter work and interests; and for the great good and progress of the movement." Their organization ran according to a structure of Parliamentary Law, which held the principles: "Justice, equality, order, speed, the right of the majority by the vote, and the right of the minority by the debate." Some interests of the club included Art History, Law, etc. Most members came from the Minneapolis area.
Description of the Collection
The collection consists of three directories (1934-1937) and an undated yearbook for Delphian Chapters, possibly 1929. The directories include constitution and by-laws, Parliamentary Law description, club rouser, club creed, membership lists, officer lists, executive board lists, and event schedules. The yearbook covers the subject of the History of Arts. It works as a schedule and study guide for that particular year.
