John Harold Kittleson
(1905-2002)
J. Harold Kittleson spent most of life with books, as a buyer and manager of the bookstore at Powers department store and later as a salesman for Random House. He served on the Board of the Minneapolis Public Library, as well as, numerous local and national book and library groups.
He made enormous contributions to the Library's special collections providing the core of the 19th Century American Studies Collection and much of the WWII Collection which was named for him. His personal papers are housed in the archives of the Library's Minneapolis Collection.
