Teen Tech Center will be closed the week of April 29th - May 4th
The Best Buy Teen Tech Center will be closed the week of April 29th - May 4th while staff attend the Intel Computer Clubhouse Annual Conference in Boston. The Tech Center will resume regular hours on Tuesday, May 7th.

Brave or Foolish?
April 1 with its near-freezing temperature was the opening day for the Twins as they played against the Detroit Tigers. "The Twins lost 4-2 in the earliest outdoor season home opener in team history. The cold may have slowed the Twins batters, but many fans didn't seem to mind the chilly weather." Hopefully the rest of the season will be much warmer!

Great Minnesota Get-Together
Want to work the 12 days of the State Fair? You must be 16 or older. Starting May 6, register online to let them know you are interested. You will also have to visit the Employment Center in person and staff will refer you to employers for job interviews.

If you have already worked at the Fair between 2007 and 2012 you will have to stop by the Employment Center to update and reactivate your registration.

If you are currently or were in foster care or a group home after you were 16, here's a list of Hennepin County Youth Resource Tips. The county will help you find a job and give you job training; and will seek out health insurance, medical care, and basic needs like food/shelter for you. They will also help you get your GED and explore higher education.

Starting April 18 you will soon have access to thousands of digital primary sources from around the United States in one place when the Digital Public Library of America launches online. Minnesota Reflections is sharing its collection along with 6 other regional hubs, as well as the Smithsonian Institution, the National Archive, Artstor, and the Harvard Library.
