Teens Online Personal Story Contest!

Teens Online wants to hear a brief personal narrative or memoir from you, between 6 and 300 words long. Check out SMITH Magazine's Six-word Memoirs for some examples of the shortest possible form, but feel free to expand your story up to the maximum word count of 300. Here are some tips on how to write a 300 word essay about your life.

How to Enter: E-mail your writing to Teens Online, hclteensonline at gmail dot com.
Deadline to Enter: March 31, 2013
Winners will be announced: April 22, 2013

Requirements

  • Must be 12 - 18 years old
  • Must be a Hennepin County resident
  • Must submit a true story
  • Maximum length 300 words
  • Include your full name, age, and city in the e-mail

Your work will be judged on:

  • Creativity, including word choice
  • Quality of writing
  • Technique (includes spelling and grammar)
