A Time to Cherish
By Robin Jones Gunn
I really liked this book, the 10th book in the Christy Miller Series, because it concludes to most of the drama throughout the series. This book is positive and uplifting while displaying the hard times of relationships in a down-to-earth way.

A Thousand Splendid Suns
By Khaled Hosseini
Just as the author did in "The Kite Runner," Hosseini created a moving portrayal of wartorn life in Afghanistan. Contrasting with Kite Runner, this book focuses more on the relationship between women rather than men. I read it in one day, could not put it down. I expected nothing less than greatness after having read Kite Runner, and I was not dissapointed.

This book is a start for an awesome series! It might be a little confusing at first but keep reading, it's worth it. It is a good combination of first and third person writing. Firegirl
By Tony Abbot
Tom Bender is a typical seventh grader. His days are filled dreaming about cars and girls and heroic adventures. Normal. The way he likes things. When Jessica Feeney arrives one month after school starts, things change. Almost immediatly Tom finds himself thinking about things that never occurred to him, and looking at people in different ways. This is a young adult chapter book about tolerance, acceptance, and compassion.

The Alchemist
By Paulo Coelho
The alchemist is such a great book that anyone could ever imagine. The Alchemist is the magical story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who yearns to travel in search of a worldly treasure as extravagant as any ever found. From his home in Spain he journeys to the markets of Tangiers and across the Egyptian desert to a fateful encounter with the alchemist. The story of the treasures Santiago finds along the way teaches us, as only a few stories have done, about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, learning to read the omens strewn along life's path, and, above all, following our dreams.

Snowed In
By Rachel Hawthorne
This book was so sweet! It was a teen romance novel about a girl named Ashleigh. She likes short-term relationships that usually consist of only one or two dates. But when she moves to Michigan where the local fare of guys is limited, Josh just may be the one to break the record. If you have read any other books by Hawthorne, you know the books are hard to put down. So if you want a little cooldown from the heat, pick-up this book: Snowed In

This book is full of adventure twisted in with an extra bite. This book makes you want to keep reading and reading. I would say that this is one of those books that keep you on the edge of your seat.
