The Red Pyramid
By Rick Riordan
Coming from the author of the Percy Jackson series, I thought this series would be good. It was intregint, but slow and less developed than the last book. All the talk about egyptian gods was confusing and not always clearly explained. It was good, but a dissipointment from the Percy jackson books.

Soccerland
By Beth Choat
i almost gave up on this book in the very beginning, but I am so glad I hung on! With a shaky, uninteresting start, only the picture on the cover kept my interest. But quickly, I found that this was one of my favorite books! This was not a heavy book, but I loved how the emotions seemed so human, and not "done-up" for the book-- it was very realistic! I also loved how it encouraged girls to be athletic, and follow their dreams. It sends a very positive message about accepting yourself for who you are, talents and flaws, that make you up to be unique. Definetly an amazing read-- especially for female athletes!

Outcasts United
By Warren St. John
This was an amazing true story about a refugee soccer team in the deep south. It had so much heart, and the entire time I read it I felt like I was living through their lives with them; from their pain, confusion, joy, triumph, and every thing in between. It was an amazing story of a family, from countries all over the world, who were united by one thing: soccer.

Epic Fail
By Claire LaZebnik
This book (that is so incorrectly named - it has nothing to do with the storyline)is a modern take on pride and prejudice, and is just as elegant as the original. There are several ties to the classic story, such as the main character's name, Elise Benton instead of Elizabeth Bennet, to the definite similarities between Webster and Wickham. However, the story changes in the fact that it is all set in present day, and deals with more modern problems than the old version. Either way, this epic love story is definitely not a fail.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I loved this book! It was the final book of the series and tied everything together perfectly! I recommend the entire series to anyone who loves action, adventure, and a little romance. It really was an epic conclusion.
