Grandmother and the Priests
By Taylor Caldwell
There is nothing more beautiful than a faithful Catholic priest, and in a series of short stories Taylor Caldwell was able to perfectly capture this beauty.

The Tortilla Curtain
By T. Coraghessan Boyle
This book was very good. The cover said it was a 'tragicomedy', but to me it was really tragic and not much comedy at all. It follows the lives of 4 people. 2 of them are living in a rich private community, and 2 of them are illegal immigrants living in a canyon. I thought this book was really interesting in the way that it gave 2 sides to the same story.

The Robe
By Lloyd C. Douglas
"The Robe" follows the tale of the conversion of a Roman centurion from a hedonistic pagan to a devote Christian during the early days of Christianity. It is exciting, historically accurate, and beautifully written I would definitely recommend it.

The Haunted Bookshop
By Christopher Morley
The bookshop is haunted. Not by ghosts, but by the thoughts of the hundreds of authors who have expressed their thoughts through literature. This is the secret to the bookshop owner's success. But will the bookshop and the authors within be able to overcome a nefarious plot to harm the president?

The Virginian
By Owen Wister
It is very seldom that I truly enjoy a book assigned for a school project. However, "The Virginian" captured my heart and successfully made it into my list of top favorite books (a very hard thing for any book to do). It was one of the first western novels ever written; it tells the story of a cowboy who attempts to woo a lady who refuses to love him. During his adventures, he conquers his enemy, a man named Trampas, who is determined to undermine the Virginian's authority and good name. The book gives a portrait not only of a cowboy, but of a true man who remains true to himself and resists the evil he encounters. I highly recommend "The Virginian"; time spent reading this book will not be wasted.

Numbers Up
By Kevin Clark
I found the book to be a fascinating thriller, but would not recommend it for those under the age of 16, due to violence and adult content. [Not in Library collection]

To Kill a Mockingbird
By Harper Lee
I thought this book would be boring, because it was assigned for school, but it was surprisingly good. I would recommend this book for high schoolers.

Left Behind
By Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins
I loved this book. It was very entertaing and suspensful. I would recommened it to anyone who wants to know more about the rapture and the end times. At some parts it could get boring because of them talking politics. So that is why I am rating this book 4 stars. I hope you will be intrigued by this review enough to read it.
