Requirements: you must be running Mac OS X.

Note to Central users: retrieve your printouts from a color printer.

Step 1. Installing Popup
The popup allows you to print to Library printers. To install Popup 8.1 for Mac OS X, obtain the Popup installer and run it as follows:

  1. Log in using an administrator account.
  2. Download the file Popup.DMG to your desktop.
  3. Double-click this file to create a new disk image in Finder. This disk contains the Popup 8.1 installer, Popup.pkg.
  4. For Mac OS 8 Mountain Lion right-click or Ctrl-click Popup.pkg to run it, and select "Open". This will call a Mac dialogue box confirming your choice to open the package.

For earlier versions just double-click Popup.pkg to run it. You will be requested to authenticate yourself as an administrator.
  5. Select a destination disk. You will only be able to select the startup disk.
  6. Click Install (or Upgrade). The installer automatically installs Popup 8.1 and required support files.
  7. Pharos Popup will now be automatically launched every time you log in.

Step 2. Installing the Color Printer Driver (optional)
If you wish to use Dell Printer drivers, download and install the Dell 5110 driver or download and install the Dell 3130 depending on which printer is at your location (not sure? Ask staff for help). If you wish instead to use your Mac's generic drivers, go on to the next step.
