Ridgedale Library building project

Reopening: September 24, 5 p.m.

About the project

Ridgedale Library is closed for renovation. The library will reopen September 24, following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. While the library is closed, holds pickup and a book drop for returns are still available, as well as other building services including the Hennepin County service center and courts and human services.

Library improvements include a more open floor plan with a variety of seating styles and reading areas, additional meeting and study rooms, enhanced areas for children and teens, increased access to technology, and new furniture. Infrastructure work to upgrade and maintain the rest of the building include replacement of mechanical and electrical systems, lighting upgrades and parking lot drainage improvement.
