Changes to pickup locations for holds

Curbside holds pickup is offered at several Hennepin County libraries and will soon be offered at additional libraries. Pickup locations for all holds have been changed to one of the curbside service libraries.

If your previous hold pickup location is not offering curbside service, you will see a new pickup location for holds in your account. Any hold with a changed pickup location was also paused, which means that you will need to activate it in order to receive it at the new location.

You can change pickup locations to any library offering curbside pickup.

What you will see in My Account

Holds that were Not Ready

  • Pickup location changed to a curbside service library
  • Holds paused

Holds that were In Transit or Ready (at libraries that remain closed)

  • Holds canceled and placed at the top of the queue for the next available copy
  • Holds now appears in the Not Ready section
  • Pickup location changed to a curbside service library
  • Holds paused

To activate paused holds for pickup

  • Log in to My Account, then go to My Borrowing > On Hold.
  • Select the Resume Hold button for each hold you wish to activate.
  • Wait for notification that the hold is ready, then call us when you plan to pick it up.

To switch to another curbside location

If you don’t want to use curbside pickup

  • Leave your holds in paused status.
  • You will maintain your place in the holds queue while holds are paused.

If you no longer want these items

  • Please cancel any holds that you no longer want.
