An afterschool space at Brooklyn Park Library for teens to work together to use new technologies and display their work. The center is intended for self-directed use, but library staff, including the Teen Tech Squad, and volunteers will also be available to introduce teens to the technology during afterschool hours.
The Tech Center is open to all until afterschool hours, when it is for teens only.
Technology and multimedia tools are available for music and video production, interactive programming, digital photography, graphic design, and much more.
Patrons need to provide their own external storage device (e.g. flash drive) to save their work.
A self-service studio with audio and video recording capabilities. During afterschool hours, the studio is for use by teens only. Teens can reserve the studio in person in the Tech Center during teen hours.
Adults may reserve the studio for use during other library hours. Make a reservation online
The studio includes an Apple audio station with GarageBand, Pro Tools, and LogicX software, a One Button Studio for video recording, a MIDI controller, a microphone, and a green screen. Other equipment may be available to check out for use in the studio.
