Ridgedale Library building project

Renovation

Projected completion: Summer 2018

About the project

Ridgedale Library is closed for renovation and is currently scheduled to reopen in summer 2018. While the library is closed, holds pickup and a book drop for returns are still available.

Other building services remain open, including the Hennepin County service center, courts and human services, as well as the Hennepin County Library administrative offices and delivery loading dock.

Library improvements include a more open floor plan with a variety of seating styles and reading areas, additional meeting and study rooms, enhanced areas for children and teens, increased access to technology, and new furniture. Infrastructure work to upgrade and maintain the rest of the building include replacement of mechanical and electrical systems, lighting upgrades and parking lot drainage improvement.
