3-D Paper Folding

Thursday, May 13, 4-5:30 p.m.
Learn paper folding techniques in the Taiwanese tradition. Start by making simple stars and boxes, then challenge yourself to create a moveable 3-D paper sculpture. Special materials are not required. Use any paper you have, such as newspaper or magazine pages.

Origami Korean Goody Bags

Thursday, May 20, 2-3 p.m.
Learn how to make your own goody bag using origami and traditional hand-made Korean clothing designs. Step-by-step instructions will be given by presenter Sungju Hong.

Kumihimo: Japanese Braiding

Participants  will create a couple of braided cords to make a key chain or/and a bracelet. For further learning, the instructor will show how to knot based on a Japanese character with a good meaning that can be a lucky charm.

Create Your Own Kirigami/3-D Lotus Flower Greeting Card

Learn how to make your own lotus flower Kirigami/3-D pop-up greeting card with step-by-step instructions by Sean and Trang Nguyen Cusick, founders of Dragonflies and Cards. During the class, you will glue and put the parts together to finish your artwork.
