Grab and Go service
As part of its phased reopening plan, Hennepin County Library is offering new grab and go services for patrons, accommodating short in-person visits.
Grab and Go is available at the following libraries:
Grab and Go locations also offer use of library computers. Calling ahead to make an appointment will help ensure a computer is available for your visit. Many Grab and Go locations can accommodate same-day visitors with instant appointments as space allows.
All visitors to Hennepin County buildings are required to wear face coverings. Please review Hennepin County’s COVID-19 safety rules and protocols in preparation for your visit.
When you visit a Grab and Go location, it will look and feel different from an ordinary library visit. Pandemic precautions limit our ability to be a space for gathering, and we are limiting the total number of patrons and staff inside each building to allow physical distancing. If a library meets its capacity limit, patrons may be asked to wait outside until other patrons have departed. Library staff will be on-site to provide additional guidance to help make your visit successful.
Please note: Grab and Go locations are not currently offering curbside service. If you are interested in curbside pickup, view our current curbside locations.
Keep watch for additional locations as we continue to reintroduce services across Hennepin County.
Grab and Go services include:
- Retrieving of holds
- Limited browsing of materials
- Checking out items
- Quick reference support
- Returning of library materials
- Computer use (appointments are recommended)
Meeting rooms, study rooms, children’s play areas, and lounges will not be available for use at this time.
