About the project

The Arvonne Fraser Library renovation will increase patron access to library services, including collaborative study spaces, quiet seating, flexible meeting spaces, and an area for youth and families. Previously known as Southeast Library, the library is being renamed in recognition of Arvonne Fraser, women’s rights leader and public library advocate.

Plumbing, ductwork and new roofing has been installed, with wall framing and furniture specification work planned for this summer.

The general contractor has taken possession of the building, and demolition is underway.
