Excellent book that takes place in 17th century Iran. Vivid descriptions of the locale sent me to the internet for pictures. The unnamed girl (see the afterward) perserveres through all kinds of obstacles to do that which she loves--making rugs--and become a master at the craft. Very good first novel and the author’s second book just came out. I’ll be starting it soon.
